Accelerated Reader (AR) ATOS Level: Although we have found that a couple levels do not match, they are close enough we will follow Scholastic’s guided reading levels. For example, while Frog and Toad together is a book at a second grade reading level, parents can read aloud this book to a Kindergartener or first grader.Guided reading levels (GRL) provided by the Scholastic Book Wizard are said to be equivalent to Fountas and Pinnell levels. Many book titles are in the Scholastic Book Wizard database. Scholastic Book Wizard also allows you to type in a title of any book you have in your house or that you find out and about and Scholastic Book Wizard will tell you the level of that book. You can narrow your search to include only non-fiction books about animals if your child has an interest in reading books and learning facts about different kinds of animals. On Scholastic Book Wizard, you can search books by your child’s level by either DRA (numbers) or Fountas & Pinnell (letters).įor example, if your child is reading at a level E, you can search for only level E books.
